Arshad Warsi's screen presence, and his strong sense of comic timing works. Jackky Bhagnani's earnest performance matches his co-actor's and his impeccable Gujju diction deserves thumbs up. Lauren Gottlieb is left unused for most part of the film. It's an average fare which could've been far better had its meanderings been trimmed.

Somebody also needs to put actual musicians at the helm of the sound department.Don’t wear a hearing aid? Then just seal your ears. And your eyes. And your soul, if you can.

Be warned: two dimwits on the run from assorted gun-toting pursuers in Pakistan isn't an edifying spectacle. The more they run the more trouble they get into and the more moronic the film becomes.Only the foolhardy would underestimate Bollywood's ability to do worse, but it is unlikely that you will see another film this unabashedly daft this year. Resist the itch.

When the gags are flowing apace, and there some good ones in here, ‘Welcome 2 Karachi’ keeps ticking. I found myself flagging when the pace dipped, especially in the second half. But overall it is all good-natured and appropriately silly, so ‘Welcome 2 Karachi’ stays watchable. And it manages to end on a hilarious note, sending us out laughing. For a comedy, that’s a win.

Arshad Warsi is known for his comic sense but Jackky Bhagnani can surprise you with his understanding of subdued comedy in some of the scenes. It’s a mindless film, but with some great fun-filled moments. Going by the logic of Welcome To Karachi, it won’t be a good idea to travel inside Pakistan without a gun. But, cinematic liberty suggests us to overlook such things and then Welcome To Karachi becomes a one-time watch.

. Director Ashish Mohan demonstrates with panache that stupid films are the cornerstone of fine art. Unfortunately, Welcome to Karachi also poses a few other queries in its viewers’ minds. Like, ‘How stupid is too stupid?’, and 'Is it ok to bombard the viewer with nonsense from start to endI have a few good friends in Karachi. My deepest apologies to all of them on behalf of Bollywood.

The first half keeps you entertained as the situations and dialogues keep you consistently guffawing, even as you get anxious for the safety of the two simpletons who have managed to land themselves among a Taliban group. Some situations are uproariously funny, as the writer bravely takes subtle digs at a particular airline (name conveniently beeped out) and a few other taboo topics which are otherwise spoken in hushed whispers. What doesn't work is the annoying background music, tacky visual effects and inconsistent direction.

The film happens to be the second venture of director Ashish R Mohan (his first film being KHILADI 786), sadly Ashish 'sinks' mercilessly as a director with this film. The film's plot and direction go haywire right from the word go. With Arshad Warsi being the sole anchor of the film, it was a tough situation for him to carry the film alone. Right from the first frame, the viewers are treated to nonsensical script, forced humor and amateurish VFX. While the film's first half is a complete washout, the only saving grace is the climax. On the whole, WELCOME TO KARACHI can be avoided without a regret.
